AWESOME !

Well, wasn't that a doozy! This annual event just keeps getting better thanks to the awesome support of the local community with their donations of meals, and incredible acts.
It was great to see so many new faces attend and the response was incredibly positive!  Bigger 'n better next year? Absolutely but only with your help!

The fantastic acts!

You can follow the links through to the original filmclips and see how the local acts do a WAY better job than the originals!

The first act was really special, all the way from Cambodia, the kids of the Goodwill Centre put on a wonderful spectacle for us, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated.

Unfortunately in the confusion, I missed Wendy doing Roy Orbison's - Only the Lonely

Up next were the ever effervescent Aliah, Miwah & a tiger - Katy Perry - Roar

Toni, imploring the crowd to donate did  Money - Flying Lizards

Nina, Laena and Jenny clowning it up doing Chers- The Shoop Shoop song

and then a real crowd favorite and first time performers, Bonnie and family performing Queen - I want to Break Free

and the wonderfully talented and ever theatrical Phil & Rick doing an Elvis number !

and finally, after much cajoling, Trevor & Toni doing Tight Fit's - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Thinking Caps for acts

So put  your thinking caps on and start thinking about what act YOU are going to put in next year to make the event even better!

Volunteers to Help Out

As its getting a bit too much for us to try and do everything, minor mistakes are being made in the mad rush to do it all (not getting to record the acts properly, etc). We really need volunteers next year to handle: door greeter, raffle ticket sales and someone to press the play button occasionally. If you would like to help out, we'd love to hear from you and we'll let you know what's expected.

Financially

After paying for hall rental and advertising, we ended up raising $937.80. We had $125 in donations from generous locals and people who couldn't make it on the night because of other commitments, which was unexpected but very much appreciated.

A big, big thanks to everyone who donated meals, performed on the night and everyone who attended.

Also, just a note, we are not a charity, we are raising these funds to donate to registered charities (Good Will, C.H.O.I.C.E and C.O.L.T) in Cambodia.  Why those ? becasue we spent a lot of time when we lived in Cambodia making sure these guys were the real deal and they are !
